I have always had long, thick, dirty blonde hair, kind of like Emma Watson's. But I need a change, and I found a scene style that I like. I'm not sure what it's called, a fashion mullet or something. Anyway, if you have any pictures of long and relatively simple scene styles, or any advice, it would be much appreciated!

I like scene hair, but how can I tone it down so I don't look entirely scene?
The hair isn't really about the cut of the hair, it's about the way it's styled and coloured.
The hair originates from Manga styles (japanese cartoons) and usually still attributes as a long sweeping side fringe (though not always required.)
The hair can be about being yourselves, the aim is to just do what you think looks good on you!
I found a website for you full of examples:

When it comes to dye, just think about the colours that suit you best and that you wouldn't mind having in your hair, pink, red, black and blonde streaks and the most popular colours.
Style:
1. Wash and condition
2. towel dry
3. Use styling mouse or gel to brush backwards
4. Style around your face, have spiky bits at the back if you want.
Finish off with a cute DIY accessory, bow or necklace, such as something from LoveBites and Bruises: http://www.lovebitesandbruises.com
This will show a flair of originality that scenesters try to go for to make them stand out and be original.
Best of luck with it! :)

Um...that's not "scene" hair, that's a 70's shag with bangs.
What the hell is "scene" hair?

what you should do is gets lots of really choppy layers. also get sideswept bangs but leave them kind of long.
you should straighten your hair....
you need a really good flat iron though...
NO CHEAP FLAT IRONS!

Go for it if you like it
hair grows, your young !
think about it for a couple of weeks, get some hair mags, if you keep going back to the same one, and in a few weeks your still really wanting it done, go for it

This is for those of you out there who have no idea what SCENE HAIR is....
For girls, scene hair is very, very choppy, usually dyed black with one or two thick random blonde chunks. It's perfectly straight all the time, with bangs that cover one or both eyes. VERY, VERY volumous, with a lot of product used, such as certain shampoos, hair wax, mousses, and sprays. Cute little plastic hairclips, bows, or headbands with polkadots are worn in the hair(and usually don't serve any purpose besides being cute.)
For boys, scene hair is about 2.5 to 3 inches long in the back, and about chin-length in the front. It is usually dyed black with a chunk of blonde or kool-aid red, with the bangs hanging in front of the eyes. The back is spiked up, while the bangs are perfectly straight. Fauxhawks are also considered scene for both boys and girls alike. bandannas can be worn around the head as well, not serving any purpose besides the certain "look" it creates.
