well in order to tease it really good you have to have it short on top. but if yur mom wont let you then i suggest using ALOT of hairspray but i cant guarentee that it will still work.

so wait...do you mean your not going to have short layers around the tops. you could still tease it (it is possilbe) but after about 5 minutes it will look like a fuzz ball and fall down and just look like a mess, not like poofy teases, like omg i had a ferret living in my hair for 6 months and didnt notice and it went berserk kina bad, yah....

mmmm noo.
im scene and u cant just "poof the hair" and leave it all the same lenghth. not only will you look like a poser, but the hair wont go right, it will be all fly-away and in weird directions.
the point of the shorter layers on top and the longer string on the bottom [those are called the Crown and the Rope, lf ur hair] is so that it makes a fuller top appereance.

My mom was the same. Get layers, but not really short ones, then use ALOT of hairspray. I just cut it myself anyway, and it looked good. There really is nothing she can do about it right? I'd do it anyway.
