i am eleven years old [turning 12 on sept 27], dont belittle me please. (: i am in sixth grade - %26amp; i dont want to look like a poser towards the eight graders at my school _

i have hair to my shoulders and bangs to my eyebrows.

its kind of a 'dora the explorer' do, i hate it - i want it to

look scene, im thinking about layers WILL THAT LOOK BETTER? :l. im stuck, i need ideas.

dont call me a poser. [i listen to screamo %26amp; techno music, im pretty mature for my age.]

%26amp; im also overweight - so i hope it wont look bad because im not a skinny pretty blonde girl..

please help me - i try asking my mom about these things, but she doesnt even know what 'scene' is..

im shy to ask my sister- she doesnt like those 'people' so i am clueless.

remember, im in sixth grade _ i dont want to do anything drastic, %26amp; i dont want to cut my hair really short ; i just cut it recently [dora-du] and i effing hate it.

ok definetly get short layers since you will have to tease or back comb it to get the desired "scene" hair. once you have the layers after straightening and everything take sections of the top shortest layer and spray some root lifting or volumizing hairspray on it then tease it. comb it down a little if you have to.

its probably a good thing your mom doesnt know what scene is, cuz "mommy i want scene hair plzplzplzplz!!!" is just wierd, if you have an older sister she will notice, and she will probably make fun of you for it, just get a better haircut like side bangs and layers, then you will be fine

alright. this hairstyle could be considered "scene", but wont make you look like a poser. its a nice compromise. if you can convince your mom (which shouldnt be too hard, b/c its not that wild), just print it out and take it to the hairstylist. its not a drastic change, but it will add a lot of edginess to your Dora-do! if you want it to look a little "scene-er", get some styling wax and make it piecey and messy. hope this helps, and good luck!

What I would do is start small, nothing too drastic. What i would do : start with just bangs.

Take your straight bangs and twist them up from your forehead. then, using scissors, cut into the ends in a jagged way, almost cutting small zig zags into them. When you let your bangs down they will be funky and jagged and look messy, and you can use a little texturizer to make them look a little spiky in front. Push them to the side, foof them back, whatever you think looks good on you. A few weeks later, bleach your bangs and add some temp color to them after a few more weeks.

After a while, cut the bottom of your hair in slight layers, and go for the overall slightly tousled messy look with some mousse. Later, bleach the bottom of your hair only and then dip it in dye. Little by little people will get used to you looking a certain new way, so its nothing too major overnight. Hope this helps, good luck!

uhm. if you dont wanna do anything drastic... then dont become scene cause thats what scene is basically all about.

the sixth grade is a little too young, dont you think? and you dont need to impress the eigth graders cause thell be gone in a year.

haha dont listen to the other ppl on this thing. im in 7th grade and i have scene hair. just do it all at once thats the way i did it in 6th grade and i did it by my self. sure your parents will get mad at you for the first week but its worth it for scene hair. and it always helps to get some one to help you cut it. just wash and towel dry your hair. then brush it out and cut side bangs. i use my razor for shaving. and then just run a pair of scisiors through your hair about 3 inch section. then just take about a hour and find the different styles you can make with your new hair. email me for any question at mychemicallover72@gmail.com and please dont send me any junk mail.

im just the right person to answer your question!!!!! i am also in 6 grade im also 11!!!!!!!!!! well i think you should totally get layers and let your hair grow longer and longer. you should try to check the styles vanesa hudgens uses in hsm 2. I am picturing that you have that lenght of your hair. try adding a bang like ashley tisdales or vanessa's on the side of your forehead which looks better on you. HOPE I HELPED!!!!
