Would Scene Hair Match Me?

I am totally in love with scene hair!

But, theres a problem. I normally wouldn't mind going and getting a scene haircut, but I'm really preppy and I think people would think I was a poser if all of a sudden I switch from my normal natural blond hair to some crazy mad rad style. Are there any suggestions on how I can make scene hair look more casual? Maybe take some baby steps toward it? I don't know I'm just really confused lol.

just put back you long bangs in a pompadour or have you bangs down and then have a back pompadour look at pictures on yahoo and things
