Question about "scene" hair?

Okay; so; i know there is no such thing as "scene" and its just a label; but i love the hair styles that people consider "scene"

here are a few i admire:

http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa209...

http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa209...

http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa209...

my question about this hair style is why does it look like they actually have short hair; but then underneath is longer?

is this style all about extensions or a certain type of layers?

Question about "scene" hair?

It's actually called a long shag. New term: Emo hairstyles. My daughter is a hair and makeup proffesional and uses these websites to help her clients create the look they are wanting, I hope these help you as well.~

My daughter has cut more hair in these styles than any other beit male or female this past year alone....

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

Your answer is.....It's all in the cut...My daughter starts off with creating the uneven shag look and cuts a variety of short to long layers in a variety of angles and drops to the remaining layers closest to the nap of neck and leaves it long and creates uneven ends by razor cutting and/or using scissors to whisp ends......

Question about "scene" hair?

aww idk i guess thats the way iy is i have scene hair and i do

have extenstions in as well but you get the cut that's what's mosr important about it and it's not scene hair it's just chopy

layers and very voulmed and well extesntion and dye as well

and tons of hairspray and best of all teasing

Question about "scene" hair?

Their hair is short.

With hair extensions in certain areas.

BTW:

The last picture is a boy :]

Question about "scene" hair?

most of them wear extentions some of them just cut there hair that way

Question about "scene" hair?

haha. there is a such thing as scene, wejust don't like to call ourselves scene cuz it makes us sound poserish.

Labeling is bad, however.

The layers are short and choppy, but not too choppy cuz then you just look like a dog.

Then you get long layers. :)

Question about "scene" hair?

Because they DO have short hair, and then they add extensions. Or they had long hair, and cut really short layers and left the rest long.

And there is a such thing as scene, it's just the scene kids of today don't realize that it's about MUSIC and not ugly hair or clothes.

Question about "scene" hair?

I like the fisrt one the most

I would like a girl with that kinda hair

Question about "scene" hair?

I would call you a poser in a heart beat,

sorry. :|

Curly scene hair?

I went to that website that my_obsession posted and I found out that my haircut is "emo"! I had no idea! Haha. Anyway, it looks like this:

http://a265.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima...

Yeah, that's me!

I got my hair cut about a month ago, and I'm going in tomorrow for a trim. Basically, I told my stylist that I wanted the shortest layer to be even with my chin and that I wanted the longest layer to hit right at the collar of my shirt. (Basically where your neck and shoulders meet.) I had already cut my own bangs, so she just blended them in for me.

Here's my daily hair regimen, hopefully it'll help you out!

First, wash your hair with Sunsilk De-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. It'll help keep your curls under control and keep them from fluffing out.

Next, towel dry your hair and apply Sunsilk De-Frizz 24/7 Creme. I use a quarter sized amount on my hair first, comb it through with my fingers and then add about a nickel-sized glob to it.

Lastly, brush your hair into whatever style you want. (Put your bangs the way you want them, etc.) Use Garnier-Fructis Soft Curl. It comes in a little round container and the texture is like a really thick paste. Put a glob on your hand (about a nickel-sized glob) and rub your hands together until it turns white and stringy. Now, rub it between your fingers and comb through your hair (with fingers) in the direction that you want your hair to go (downward). Once you finish, see if you can feel any spots without it and apply it to those places. Now, "mess up" your hair. I just sort of scruch and fluff it.

TIPS TO REMEMBER;;

+ With curly hair like yours (and mine), it is best NOT to wash your hair every day. I know it might sound gross at first, but it's really not that bad. I wash mine two-three times a week. You'l notice that your hair will look better on the days that it hasn't been washed, I promise!

+ When you apply product to your hair, be sure to get in on the underside, especially at the roots. This is where the bulk of the "poof" comes from.

Curly scene hair?

sry but i dont know what scene means...what DOES it mean anyway???

the hairs more scene then emo you can click curly hair for some ideas ^.^

Curly scene hair?

My hair is the exact same way..except when it dries, it's not pretty. Lol. I straighten my hair EVERY single day and it seems to make my haircut obvious. People said my hair looks like a scene kid's hair, lol, but yeah, I know if I didn't straighten it, it wouldn't look like that. Constantly straightening your hair with just a straightener can be bad, but if you use a spray or something to put on before you straighten it, it should be okay.

:]

I have scene hair...?

Okay so I got it cut about 2 weeks ago and I straighten it and everything then I pick up little pieces of my top layer and brush them backwards and forwards and hairspray it and then I get the tangles out of it and it looks fine, but about half an hour later my hair is flat again...so please tell me how to make it look right...

Heres how I had my hair cut, this is actually the picture I took in to the hair salon.

http://s170.photobucket.com/albums/u248/...

I have scene hair...?

i have that problem too.

i just use hairspray before i tease it.

btw u are really pretty and i love ur make up, wut kind of makeup do u use???

I have scene hair...?

tease ur hair and use lots of hairspray

I have scene hair...?

my hair does that too you just hair to keep pushing it up and add a little bit more hairspray

I have scene hair...?

while you tease your hair, add a volumizing mousse ( it comes in a spray aerosol can. That should do the trick

I have scene hair...?

my friend has this problem too.

try spraying prior to brushing it forward and backward.

or put mouse in it.

I have scene hair...?

Women who desire to be beautiful almost always start with their hair. There is nothing like a head of soft, fluffy hair that looks thick and full of body. Hair like that always catches the eye. Thin and lanky hair that lies flat against the scalp rarely if ever looks flattering.

To achieve this full-bodied look, women resort to using various products 閳?shampoo, conditioners and styling aids. Subjecting the hair to chemical treatments like coloring, bleaching and perming also results to this. Blow-drying the hair also fluffs it out. Unfortunately, too much of these products and processes can lead to hair damage as well.

Each strand of our hair is made up of cuticles covered with scales. These scales are responsible for protecting the hair from damage. Ideally, these scales are supposed to lie flat against the cuticle, but when the hair is permed, bleached or colored, the chemicals involved in the process open up these scales to treat the hair inside as well. The open scales cause the hair to fluff out, making the hair look thicker and fuller. This is also what happens when the hair is exposed to heat from blow-drying or using hair irons and curlers. The danger to having the scales of the hair open, though, is added vulnerability of the hair to chemical build-up, as well as to probable damage of the cuticle from ultraviolet rays, leading to dryness, frizzing and split ends.

Perming and coloring may seem like a quick fix for thicker hair, but it will prove harmful in the end. Thick and fluffed-out hair is not beautiful hair if it is not healthy.

So how does one get thick and full-bodied hair that is also glowing with health? The first step to this is using a good volumizer shampoo. Like the chemicals used in perming and coloring, volumizer shampoos also enter the scales and cause them to open up and pad the hair with substance. But unlike perming chemicals and dyes, shampoos also have ingredients that are formulated to protect the hair閳ユ獨 cuticle.

Volumizer sprays and lotions applied to the hair while styling also do the trick. Another method involves hair gel rubbed onto the hair while being blow-dried, lifting the hair strands and creating the illusion of thickness and body.

But again, too much is bad. Shampoos and other hair styling products leave residue to the hair that will make it look limp. The product build-up must be washed out of the hair at least once a month with clarifying shampoo or castile soap. These products will rid the hair of build-up but let the hair keep its fullness.

Another thing you can try to increase the volume of your hair is tipping your head down and brushing your hair from the back. You can also do your hair up in curlers for those volume-adding curls.

Having thick hair is not just a dream, and neither is it an expensive and difficult reality. Be creative and keep your hair healthy!

hope this helps

I have scene hair...?

I'd say use a better hair spray, or maybe you could put a heat set on it before you start styling.

I have scene hair...?

i use got2b defiant hair pomade

put only a little on or it'll look greasy

and finish it off with a bit of hair spray

hope i helped

Hair cut. Scene hair cut.?

Okayyyy sooo I need to and wanna get a hair cut. I

But I have no clue where to go.

I need the place to be in Illinois and give me a name to ask for when I go. Itll be the typical scene hair cut. Razored, really layered and all that good stuff.

Has to be in Illinois.

I live in the naperville area.

Annnything will help!

If you need my myspace its... myspace.com/atreyu_rocker85

Hair cut. Scene hair cut.?

If you know anyone with similar hair, or people in the "scene," ask them if they know any good stylists or salons. Also, look for a salon around there that specializes in "alternative" hair--dreadlocks, unnatural hair color (blue, pink, green, etc.), whatever. There's a salon here in Michigan that is like that, their site is thrulunaseyes.com. Perhaps you could look there and get a kind of feel for what to look for in your area.

Make sure you know exactly what you want when you go to the salon. Pictures if you can. That way, the stylist doesn't have to guess and there'll be less of a chance that you'll be dissatisfied.

Let me know if you need anymore help :)
